The crystallization I create is a silent architect The crystallization I create is a silent architecture upon the skin of the flower.
A structure that does not impose itself, but emerges.
A natural geometry built in silence, as if time were taking shape without making a sound.
The crystals form in precise patterns, almost invisible at first. They cling to the organic without erasing it. Stem, petal, edge: the flower becomes both foundation and surface, memory and matter. Each mineral formation is a micro-architecture growing out of the ephemeral, giving it new structure, a new voice.
I do not seek to preserve the flower as it was, but to accompany it through its transformation.
Crystallization is not an armor, it is a translation. A way to make visible what is changing: the delicacy that endures, the beauty that does not need to last in order to be.
In this collection, fragility does not shatter.
It reorganizes, crystallizes, and sustains itself in its own transformation.
The #ephemeral dares to endure—not by resisting change, but by becoming something else.
The #mineral and the #organic are interwoven in the same body.
And in that encounter, a visual poetics emerges:
a quiet tension between what glows and what fades,
between what remains and what dissolves.

This artistic photo series was a collaboration with the talented photographer 📸 @hiroki.watanabe.photography during my stay in #Tokyo.

Hello! I am Cristina, an interdisciplinary artist Hello! I am Cristina, an interdisciplinary artist from Barcelona 👋🏼

I believe in the power of art and nature, and the beauty of small details, to communicate and connect deeply across diverse forms and disciplines.

With a background in graphic design and art direction, my artistic practice has evolved across Spain, Australia, and the U.K. Working across conceptual design, glass, ceramic, floral design, photography, and digital art, I highlight the beauty of nature 🌿
