Bloom Alchemy is a sculptural series that explores the relationship between nature, technology, and matter. The works originate from floral compositions generated through algorithms created with artificial intelligence, which are later reinterpreted in glass.
In this process, Cristina Hernández experiments with the artisanal glass fusing technique, granting it a freer and more contemporary character. The incorporation of oxides and metals triggers unpredictable chemical reactions during firing, generating textures, bubbles, and veils that emerge spontaneously, as if the material were asserting its own language.
Each piece is the result of a dialogue between the digital, the chemical, and the manual, a territory where beauty emerges through accident and transformation.
Bloom Alchemy invites viewers to pause within the very process of transformation, where matter retains traces of chance and beauty is revealed through the unforeseen.
